Kyoto picture post

Here`s some pictures i took on that trip to Kyoto. I look a bit funny carrying that camera gear in pictures of Esa/Medic. But a good thing about Japan is that I really wasn`t the only one who had a bit overdoing it in camera wise. There were a few Japanese gentlemen who were carrying even more gear. One guy had 3 cameras, one guy had 1 Mamiya 6x9 + Ricoh GR and one guy had given his wife a task to carry around huge (i mean a really heawy looking) tripod... It was nice and a bit long walk (in time wise) I have to admit that my "Shrine" quota was filled for that day. Esa explained the placenames already, so i will leave them out for now.

View from a window of our apartment. Looks like white minivan type car is really popular.

Inside view.

Esa and Jonna in one of the really long escalators at Kyoto station.

Another view from Kyoto station.

My first sakura picture in Japan :)

We saw a lot of school groups in the tourist spots. Veiw from gion streets.

Jonna and sakura.

Japan is a really clean contry. Everywhere there are cleaning staff that constantly keep areas clean.

Crowded streets which were full of souvenir shops.

Jonna was really interested of the wooden shoes, but in the end only bought a pair of socks.

These vending machines are everywhere and they are very cheap (compared to Finland prices) We have spent a many 100yen coins on these already.

We saw a shop that was selling these really ugly looking masks.

Rickshaw tour.

Streets full of different Japanese food places.

Vaffel with chocolate pudding inside.

Beautiful gardens of heian shrine.

Good morning!

You must had a nice day in Kyoto:)
I enjoyed your photos because I've visited Kyoto only 3 or 4 times.
(I went to Kansai over ten years ago.)
I like Arashiyama. Why don't you go there if you go to Kyoto again:)

Joo on tietsikka ja nettiyhteys taalla. Varmasti tekee meidankin mieli tulla uudestaav, vaikka nyt on vahan sellainen fiilis etta ei kauheasti ahdista tulla takaisin suomeen. Alkaa olla nahtavyyskiintio taynna.
