Trip to Arashiyama

We went to Arashiyama with our local friend Masa. We took a osaka loop line to osaka station, there we exchanged to train to shin-osaka station where we took a train to Kyoto. We met Masa at kyoto station, where we also bought bento boxes for lunch. We tried the warm foods vending machine as a breakfast (see pictures below). From kyoto we took the local train to Arashiyama station.

In Arashiyama we saw temples and booked a Kimono rental for Yonster. We will go there 18th day. From the town we headed to the mountain. Sorry, i can`t remember all the place names, because i focused on something else than looking the map :) The weather was fine and after yesterday`s rain sky was blue. For my photographer friends: It was noon (in Arashiyama) so it was very contrasty, that`s why pics will be a bit dark + burned.

Hard working lady`s in the rice ball shop. They are working when we leave the station at 9 and when we come back 20 they are still there. Every morning they say ohayo gozaimasu (good morning) to us and smile.

For finnish people: Divide the price of the car by 150 and you get the price in euros.

Yodabashi Camera. You can get everything you will need for photography. There is of course also everything else related to computers and home entertainment. Prices were very high compared to the small stores here. There was a song on the yodabashi camera with (for finnish only) "pikkumatin autosta on kumi puhjennut" tone. They singed that they have very low prices... That was kind of funny. The clothes shop whihc was in same building sold 140e jeans and they were supposed to be cheap.
